Malvern Exhibition: 2 May to 30 June 2024

The West Malvern Social Club is a hidden cultural gem locked amongst little lanes and packed houses carved into the steep Worcestershire Hillside. What a delight to find myself there for my first solo exhibition.

I have torn work from my walls and re-framed many for the event. Images and impressions of long loved landscapes, frame to frame with the ancient stones that I have visited, and quirky printed imaginings.

The exhibition will feature fifteen of my art works, all recently framed and mounted.  For many visitors this will be the first opportunity to see a range of my original art.

I know I am a creative and expressive person. It is in my blood. But always as a performer or a writer, the artwork I did produce I didn't even recognise as art myself - just something I needed to do. A few years ago I asked myself the question, "Why don't I produce art." So I started printmaking (on the basis that I couldn't draw).  I challenged lots of my assumptions about art and my capacity to produce it and I continue to challenge that every day

If you can’t make it to Malvern here is a view of what you are missing.
